At the Kimberly A. Lightford Emergency Department, Loretto physicians and nurses stand ready for the many emergencies that may arise. Loretto Hospital’s Emergency Department is a Comprehensive Level II Emergency Department.
Our state of the art Emergency Department has 14 private exam rooms with appropriate technology that is able to handle all levels of care patients may need. The department also has its own entrance and waiting area, a newly covered area for ambulances as well as many innovative patient-centered upgrades. With the interest of our patients in mind, Loretto employs friendly knowledgeable greeters who act as a personalized liaison between the patient and Emergency Department personnel, which is composed of Board Certified Emergency Care physicians and nurses who all possess advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications.
The Kimberly A. Lightford Emergency Department services and specialists are available year round (24/7) for emergency needs.
Loretto Hospital recognizes that many of its patients use the Emergency Department for their primary healthcare. This awareness has led the hospital to not only make available state of the art technology and care resources, but we also provide appropriate and quality referrals to our Ambulatory Care Center for follow-ups and continuous care so as to facilitate the best possible patient care outcomes.
