Inpatient Care Units
Loretto Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric units are supported by an array of program and treatment protocols to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our psychiatric unit staff has a special understanding for the concerns surrounding a client who requires hospitalization. We conduct a thorough intake information preceding admission and work closely with the admitter to ensure symptom-specific responsive care during a client’s stay with us.
Inpatient Psychiatric Admission
Loretto Hospital offers direct admission under the physician of choice or a physician can be assigned by our medical director. Since we are a general community hospital, individuals who may require medical services as well as psychiatric treatment can be admitted without hindrance.
Referrals to Loretto’s adult psychiatric units may be made by patients, family members, physicians, counselors, social service agencies, employers, ministers, teachers, or as a result of a crisis intervention.
Our psychiatric admission procedures are designed to be simple and efficient:
- Call Inpatient Psychiatric Admission at (773)854-5320
- The Patient will be asked to provide the following information:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Medicare/Medicaid Numbers AND/OR all other insurance numbers
- A nurse will ask for any available clinical information. Within 30 minutes, benefits will be verified and we will contact the admitter regarding admission. Upon request, an ambulance can be sent to pick up a client.
