February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States, accounting for 1 in 4 deaths. This year’s theme, “Change Starts with a Heart-to-Heart” speaks to millions of Americans who are living with heart disease, or who has at least one risk factor for heart disease, such as such as high blood pressure, obesity, physical inactivity, or an unhealthy diet. Individuals both young and old can be at risk. Know your risks! For more information about heart disease, contact Loretto Hospital’s Ambulatory Care Clinic at 773-854-5475 and ask to make an appointment with a primary care physician for a complete check-up. If you already suffer from heart disease, ask to speak to one of our cardiologists to learn about treatment options available to you. Loretto Cares about your health. Call today, 773-854-5475.
